At top right, click on your username, then select Settings from the drop-down menu. Log in to your Instagram account and navigate over to your profile page. (Instagram will require you re-enter all of the information associated with your original profile.) Type your password again, then click delete my account If you want to reactivate your account later, just sign back in with your email address and password. This can take up to a week, but you’ll get an email when it’s complete. Click on delete my account and enter your password. Go to your Instagram profile and click on settings in your bio. For example, if someone has tagged your profile in photos using their phone, those pictures will no longer show up once you have deleted your profile. Note: Deleting your account will permanently remove it from all devices associated with its username. Click on it, which will take you directly to Delete Your Account. On top of your profile picture, you should see a number between 1 and 5 (or possibly even higher). Select Account Settings, then click on General in another menu that pops up. Click on it and you’ll see a menu pop up with several options on it. You’ll find Settings at the bottom of your page, right next to Help. Once deleted, there’s no way back! Click on Settings in the list at the bottom
In order to completely remove all content from Instagram, including comments and Likes, you must type DELETE_ACCOUNT into both fields and hit enter in each field before pressing Permanently Delete Account. Click on Delete Your Account under Account Info. This will take you to your settings tab, where you can view basic information about your Instagram account and opt-out of certain services. Click on Settings in the top right corner of your profile page. Click on your profile picture in the top right Once you’ve signed out, close down all open Instagram tabs. Signing out won’t erase all of your data–it will only remove you from any running sessions or live videos on Instagram Stories. To sign out of Instagram, tap Options at the bottom of your screen, then select Log Out from the menu that appears on top of your screen. If you want to continue using these apps, don’t worry-you just have to sign back in with your Facebook information. Make sure you’re signed in to your Instagram account before deleting it. Instagram accounts are linked to Facebook, so deleting your Instagram account will also delete your access to other Instagram-affiliated apps like WhatsApp and Messenger. However, once you’ve deleted your Instagram account, there’s no option to get it back, so think long and hard before committing to this action! One such example is deleting your Instagram account, which you can do by going through the same process as deactivating it or disconnecting it from Facebook, as detailed below. It’s important to take advantage of all the online platforms available to you, but it’s also critical to be selective about what you set up and how you use them.
